MariaDB raises $25M more to expand its SkySQL cloud database platform
MariaDB Corporation, the company behind MariaDB SkySQL and one of the startups leading the charge on open-source cloud databases, is announcing $25 million in funding to continue its growth. The money is coming in the form of an extension to the company’s Series C round, and it’s being led by SmartFin Capital, a Belgian VC, with participation from previous investor GP Bullhound.
Blockchain cybersecurity startup Valid Network raises $6 million
Israel-based blockchain cybersecurity startup Valid Network Ltd. has raised $6 million in a seed round led by Boston-based Ten Eleven Ventures LLC, with participation from Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP). JVP was the company's first investor together with the Israel Innovation Authority and led its seed round in 2018. Valid develops enterprise software for securing smart contracts capable of identifying code vulnerabilities, possible loopholes, changes between versions, and abnormal activity to prevent fraud.
Industrial AI startup Seebo raises $9 million in series B round
Tel Aviv-based Industrial AI startup Seebo Interactive Ltd. announced Tuesday it has raised $9 million in a series B round led by Israel-based Ofek Ventures. Founded in 2012 by brothers Lior and Liran Akavia, Seebo develops cloud-based software that allows industrial manufacturers to quickly and cost-effectively turn existing machinery into smart connected systems that report their health and usage data.
Cyber attack simulation specialist XM Cyber brings investment to $49m with new VC-led round
XM Cyber, a breach and attack simulation platform, has closed its Series B round on $17m, as it looks to grow its global sales and marketing efforts. The capital was supplied by Macquarie Capital, Nasdaq Ventures, Our Innovation Fund, and Swarth Group. With the close of the round, the company has secured a total of $49m in equity.
